Oia, Santorini... what a dream! This place has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. It surpassed all of my expectations. There were only two negative things about this place : 1.) A day in Santorini wasn't enough 2.) I had a really bad hair day and it was breezy and I almost lost my cool.
Santorini is definitely a place to come back to for a week or two and just stay remote in one of the hotels or resorts off the cliffs. I have my wish list of places to stay and I'd freak out every time I spotted one down below while walking. The shopping is incredible here and the people in the town are so kind. I don't know if they see many blondes in Santorini, or if they do, they know for sure know she is American. I had so many Greek women stop me and compliment the color of my hair. It was hysterical and then I was beginning to get a bit paranoid....
We continued our fill of Greek food, which I loved. Zeke didn't love it as much as he thought he would. We kept asking around for falafel and chicken shswarma since that is what they have on the greek menu's in the States. No one had a clue as to what we were referring to and it wasn't until after we had left Greece that we realized it's not Greek food, it's Middle Eastern... So there's that.
Just when I thought I couldn't love a place in Greece more than Santorini, we went to Mykonos. My world stopped turning.
